Time-Constant-Domain Spectroscopy: An Impedance-Based Method for Sensing Biological Cells in Suspension

Impedance measurement is a common technique to characterize and detect the electrical properties of biological cells. However, decode underlying physical processes, it requires complex models alongside prior knowledge sample under study. In this work, we introduce an attractive label-free method for sensing cells in suspension based on impedance distribution relaxation times (DRT) model. The DRT maps data from frequency-domain time-constant-domain spectrum (TCDS) being useful robust analysis. We perform measurements range 1 kHz MHz obtain TCDS mimic samples as well HeLa suspension. Results show that can be seen fingerprint sample, information about composition structure with high sensitivity resolution.
